Kim Gjersoe:

Kim Gjersoe is a versatile performer with a we alth of v aried experience s . Born in Denmark to an English te ach er and an engi neer , h e has performed in t heatre , immersive perfo rmances, and commercial work in Denmark before progressing to wo rking in film, short film s , classical theatre , commercial work , and voice – over in the UK. Kim Gjersoe first trained in a cting in his teenage yea rs as part of small youth theatr e gro ups in Denmark , performing in musicals , and fringe t heatre and later trained f or 6 months at Rødkilde Hø j skole in traditional theatre and character work. He went on to take a break from acting in his twenties, serving in the Ro yal Lifeguard fo r 8 month s as a conscript , before graduating from RUC (Roskilde Universi ty) with an MA in English and Phi losophy. He taught English at Danish schools and as a private tutor during this period , but decided he needed to p ursue an international acting career coming towards his 30 s. He has s ince moved to London to do this , as well as focus on his writing and other artistic p rojects . In his pursuit of in spiration and uncommon knowledge , Kim has unde rtaken many ir regular jo urneys , including living amongst Zen Buddhist monks in Ho kyoji temple in Japan and collecting traditional oral narratives from Oglala Lakota Native American tribes in North Dakota and South Dakota, US , wr iting university research papers on these travels . Bef ore m oving to the UK, he journeyed across Europe by train and made i t with the Trans Siberian railway in 2 01 9 through Russia , Mongolia , and China , co ntinuing his journey through Southern Asia. This plethora of experiences informs his approach whenever diving into a character , writing fiction , or engaging in any other form at of storytelling. During COVID, he taught himself how to pro duce audio content and sta rted producing audiobooks and audio dramas.

He comes fro m an academic background, having an MA in Engli sh and Philosophy from RUC and working as a teacher of English. Beyond acting, Kim is also a writer and prod uc er of audio dramas through his branch company Voice Weavers .
